I’m using this week’s blog to vent about something that has been bothering me. No matter what I do or where I go I tend to get yelled at by people. Now, I always thought of myself as a loner and I spend a lot of my time trying to stay out of peoples’ way and do my own thing, but lately I have been pissing a lot of people off and I don’t know why.
Here are my examples for the past 2 weeks:
JB and I love to rollerblade; we have a 3 mile bike path that we try to skate every other day. Well, it was like any other day, we start rollerblading to the path when we skate next to this middle age blonde lady. She stops, mugs the hell out of both of us and in a nasty tone says, “There go the rule breakers!” You might think, ‘Not a big deal, right?’ Well, it is to me because I get these comments from people all the time. JB and I are probably the most quiet, laid back people in the complex, so I still can’t figure out why we are titled the “rule breakers.”
Moving on to the next insult…
JB and I visit my dad in Utah last week; one of the reasons we chose to visit is because it’s extremely peaceful in the mountains. It’s a small town where everyone waves when they drive or walk by. One night we take our dog, JJ on a walk down the pebbled road, we didn’t want to walk in the middle of the road so we moved over to the side where there was dead grass (there are no sidewalks in his town) all of a sudden we heard in the most redneck voice ever, “Get the F*** of my property!” I was stunned at first, but then politely yelled back, “I’m sorry we were just walking our dog!” “Well the street is to your left. Now get the F*** off my property before I call the cops!” JB and I move on to the street and headed back for my dad’s house, not even 30 seconds later a second person comes out of the same house and repeats what the first person yelled at us. My mind was blown at this point. I couldn’t believe we managed to find the meanest people in the world in a place we thought was so heavenly. The only thing I could think of to say back was, “Man, You’re really nice, aren’t you?”
So are you getting my point? Am I a magnet that only attracts supreme jerks? It doesn’t matter what I do or where I go, I always tend to attract these kinds of people.
I can go on and on too. I’m just telling you the two most recent incidents, or else this blog would be as long as a novel.
Does anyone remember the story when I was sitting in the mall eating nachos when a supposed Blood (gang member) started harassing me and ended up trashing the entire front half of the J Crew store because I pissed him off so bad? Man that was one of the scarier encounters.
Anyway, I’m done ranting. Please tell me what I am doing wrong and why do the most random people seem to hate me?
The end.
