For years I have been in verbal arguments on how XBOX blows PS2 away. I’ve always felt that the Xbox has better graphics and the larger selection of FPS games. SO of course there was no reason for me to make the switch to PS2 (or so I thought).
Until recently I have found a secondary calling, hands-on video games. I like to refer to them as hands-on because I literally beat bruises into myself while playing.
It all started after the Child’s Play charity dinner in early December, Anim8rJB and I had some friends over. JB ended up borrowing Guitar Hero from one of his co-workers so we could entertain some of our guests. It was everyone’s first time playing, so we just went in a circle and took turns, all the while laughing at the horrid noise the game makes when you miss a beat. As embarrassing as it was; I was the only person to manage to fail the song. You would think I would hate the game for making me feel so inadequate, but after the party ended I kept hearing the beats in my head so I plugged the guitar in and tried again. Two weeks later I’m still not great at the game, but I can’t help myself from playing; it’s so addicting. So addicting, in fact, that we went out and bought a PS2 just so we could play Guitar Hero whenever our little hearts desire. Which is LOTS!
So after a couple of weeks of guitar rage I decided to replace my addiction with a new game, Taiko Drum Master. I have the PSP version, which is awesome, but what makes the PS2 drum master so great is there’s an actual drum you hit to the beat. Ever since the purchase I have been locked in our fun room, beating the drum and ME, literally. I sit Indian style on the floor when I play so every time I go to hit the drum I hit my knee along with it. Look at the size of my bruise.

I never would have thought that video games could cause injuries. You know a game is awesome when you harm yourself while playing but refuse to stop.
To think I finally thought I was getting my life back on track, I was chilling out on videogames a lot, I was trying not to be so compulsive with the amount of hours, but thanks to Namco my life has been taken from me again. Thanks TAIKO
