Is Gaming Making You Fat? Have No Fear…
Apr 05, 8:20 am

Is gaming making you fat? Have no fear, Brookelyn is here!

Knock, knock. Who’s there? Nothing. Nothing who? Nothing but sitting on my ass for two months playing Vegas for eight hours a day.

My addiction to Rainbow is getting a bit ridiculous. The only reason I’m noticing my addiction more than ever is because I gained a couple of pounds since I started playing nothing but Vegas. This scares the hell out of me! Like most girls, weight is something I fear. I needed a plan to lose weight and I needed one fast! So, last Wednesday I came up with this brilliant exercise.  If you find yourself in this same dilemma you might want to take notes, as this routine is perfect for lazy gamers such as myself.

1. Go buy yourself Kinetics for PS2 - It’s a workout game that uses EyeToy to monitor your activity. The workouts consist of a variety of games that involve you moving around a lot in front of the camera. There are several game types to choose from, depending on what areas you want to work on.  You can also select a personal trainer that will give you step-by-step directions through the entire workout. After each session, the game saves your results and the workout will get more and more advanced depending on your progress.  Cool, huh?

2. Do not eat more than 2,000 calories a day - This is a lot easier than I thought it would be. The first couple of days, I tried to only eat 1200 calories and I think I almost starved to death, so I jumped the number up a little.

3. Try doing some easy exercises while gaming - For example, stand up and lift yourself up from the balls of your feet, over and over.  Try doing this an entire match. Your calves will be sore as hell but at least the gameplay will distract you for a bit.

I’m proud to say I’ve lost four pounds in five days just by using this little program I put together. I’m even starting to see definition in my abs. All together, I work out four days a week for thirty minutes a day.  Not too bad, considering I don’t even have to walk away from a console to exercise!
