My first episode of Girly Gamer is now complete!
Gradient nails is such a cool effect, but when trying to follow tutorials I found on YouTube I realized some of their methods were really hard to achieve. I must’ve looked at ten different videos and painted my nails over 50 times; hence the extremely cracked skin around my finger nails seen in the example photos. You can imagine all the nail polish remover I had to use, which wasn’t good for my cuticles. Anyway, every time I painted my nails it was a disaster! Just when I was about to give up I decided to give it one more shot, but this time I tried figuring it out for myself. Some techniques I came up with, some I borrowed, but I think my method and order gives the best results and is a lot easier to master. Now that I did the dirty work for you girls I feel if you follow my tutorial you all will be able to achieve this effect in your first couple of attempts. At least I HOPE!
A little back story for you about the chips in my photo example - I was so excited when I finally achieved the look I jumped up and touched my wet nails on everything around me before I had taken example pictures. Haha.
Now for my first tutorial...Enjoy!
NAIL TIP: If you think your gradient nails aren’t perfect and you want to hide the flaws, just apply a coat of clear glitter nail polish over the gradient. The glitter reflects light and hides the flaws.
