Inspired by myself, the girl members in our community, and the popular topic on Frag Doll forums “What Hair Straightener do you use?” I’ve decided to create a video blog series called ‘Girly Gamer’.  Now I know what the guys are thinking, “WTF...She’s kidding, right?” Not in the least.  I know Frag Dolls is primarily a gaming site, but video blogs are supposed to reflect the ideas or topics of the creator.  Since gaming is only one of my passions, I thought my videos should be on topics that interest me at that time.  Did you know my favorite things outside of gaming are….Googling instructional videos, make up, creating new hairstyles, crafts, sewing, fashion, bracelet making, beading, fingernail design, and dancing?  Basically, everything you would place under the category “Girly” I love.  I figured I can’t be the only Girly Gamer out there; maybe there are other girls that are interested in the same topics as me and would get some use out of my videos.  I definitely know I want to create instructional videos on cool techniques I love to use when it comes to any “girly” craft, but I also would love to use this medium for talking games and girl talk. It would also be cool to start doing interviews or tutorials with some of the girls in our community. For example, I could interview Booty Star about makeup tips (Everyone knows she is the best at makeup) I would also love to hear advice or recommendation for the next Girly Gamer topic.  For my first video I was going to give a Gradient Nail tutorial.  I learned this technique a few months ago and when done right you will be rockin some kick ass gamer fingers.  I actually already filmed it, but don’t feel that the camera does the technique justice.  I will have to play with the video some more.

Okay there you have it… So what do you girls (or boys) think about the idea of Girly Gamer? Remember I want these videos to be fun and interesting to everyone involved so I will be writing down your ideas for future segments. We can use the thread linked to this blog as the official Girly Gamer brainstorming corner.  You should expect to see my first Girly Gamer video coming this October.
