I think I’m on my way to becoming a Galaga Superstar on Xbox Live. Everyone that has me on their friends list can give witness to how many hours a day I dedicate to this game. I haven’t had an addiction so intense since original Rainbow Six 3 on Xbox. Unlike Rainbow Six 3, Galaga doesn’t monitor the hours I’ve invested… Thank God!! The last thing I want is facts about how much of a nerd I’m becoming.
Every since I was a little girl I was fascinated with the arcade game, Galaga. Probably because the concept was simple; destroy all the enemy spaceships, while avoiding contact with them and their bullets. When my mom would take me to the movies I would sneak out just to play Galaga. Although the concept is easy the game really isn’t. I remember thinking, “How can people get past stage seven.” The ships just fly way to fast. So you can imagine the excitement I felt when I made it to stage 14 when first playing it on Xbox Live. Looking back now, that number is quite embarrassing. Now I’m smashing that number. All it took was a little incentive. Here’s a list of many motivations that helped me to achieve my goals.
- SethWho had the highest score on my friends list - I wasn’t going to allow this to happen. Achieved!
- I wanted to make the top 100 on the leader board. Achieved!
- Top 75 on Leader board! Achieved!
It’s not just my own personal goals that are driving me to achieve the number one spot. Anim8rJB has told me if I made top 30 he will buy me Mc Donald’s and I can even get cheese on my hamburger. YAY! Isn’t my man charming? Since I am currently ranked #30 (score 628,350) he has now upped the Ante.
- #25- a PF Chang’s dinner
- #1- $200.00 for Victoria’s Secret.
So you can see where my addiction is coming from now… promising a girl Victoria’s Secret will guarantee her to become a Galaga Superstaaaaaaaaaaaar…
