As most of you might have heard Clan Wars Lock Down is officially over.  Each one of the Fragdolls held auditions to see who would make the cut to represent their team.  Lucky for me, I ended up picking a strong, relaxed, well balanced team. The team consisted of 5 great players: JJ Rage, UnfoldedHail, x Urban Myth x, Falc0 81, EiGhT Ft DrOp.  I couldn’t have picked a better team.

From the very beginning they all got a long and were solid on winning every match, well until the final match that is.  Unfortunately for Urban Myth and his team, he had other priorities to attend to on the night of the final match. The rules state, if a team member backs down the only sub that will be allowed is the Frag doll representing that team.  Sadly for my team, I haven’t played Lockdown for month, not to mention with a team.

When the news broke that he wasn’t able to make it and I was the one subbing in, I could tell my team’s morale shot straight down and it showed.  The first two maps were a disaster, and I knew deep down inside I was a big part of this. There was no communication and everyone seemed to be uptight.  Finally we got our big break.  It seemed pretty much obvious that we were going to lose, so everyone just started loosening up and playing for fun, this is all that we needed.  The match flipped around and we started winning.  It was amazing!  Before we knew it, we were tied, 2 maps each.  Which I’m sure put Seppuku alpha team in a panic.  Finally the last map I ended up coming through for my team, aside from the fact I blew up one of my teammates when he was blinded by a flash grenade, I actually manage to aim straight and get the last two kills on the final rounds.  I must say it was a feeling I haven’t felt since competing on Team compete back in the days.  I almost forgot how good it felt to win.

Congrats to Brookelyn’s Alpha- you played hard and won big!  Props to all the other team the participated in Clan Wars, especially Seppuku Alpha; you really gave us a scare. You guys were great competitors which made the final match very interesting.
