Well the day is finally here!  The GR:AW downloadable content has been released for the Xbox 360 on Xbox Live Marketplace.  The cost of the content is 1200 Marketplace Points, which works out to around $15 USD.  Now before you start yelling, ‘Fifteen dollars!?  That’s absurd!!!’ Let me tell you what your hard-earned scratch gets you.  For starters, you get:

5 New Weapons:

• SR-25 SD (Marksman)
• M468 (Rifleman)
• M468/M320 (Grenadier)
• AK-47 LMG (Gunner)
• SCAR-H SV (Rifleman)

In addition, you get four new facial camouflage patterns to use on your character:

There are also two new camouflage patterns to use on you uniform:

…and now for the best part – new maps!  For the co-op fan, there’s four new maps for you too…or a ‘chapter two’, so to speak…

• Coffee Plantation (Day)
• Shipping Port (Evening)
• River Depot (Dawn)
• Jungle Mine (Day)

For the multiplayer fans, there’s eight maps that have been revisited and relit:

• Fishing Village (Dusk)
• Wharf (Late day)
• Old Town (Morning)
• Nowhere (Evening)
• Coffee Plantation (Evening)
• Shipping Port (Sunset)
• River Depot (Day)
• Jungle Mines (Evening)

My personal favorite was Jungle Mines, although they all look great and breathe new life into an already amazing multiplayer experience.

…and two new multiplayer game types – Team Battle, and Team Blind Siege. 

At this year’s E3, I only got to play three of the new maps and use three of the new weapons, but even at that state I already knew that the DLC was worth the 1200 Marketplace Points.  For all the GRAW fans out there, getting new content for the game is a lot like Christmas – except with guns instead of teddy bears.  Now what are you waiting for?  Get downloading, and I’ll see you on Live!
