Ask A Doll
Jan 24, 10:40 am

Have any of you ever played Star Wars Galaxies?
No, is it fun?  I have it somewhere lying around my house.  I remember watching a show where this middle-aged woman was so obsessed with this game, her marriage fell apart.  So between my WoW addiction and this game, it’s probably a good thing it’s collecting dust.  Plus, here’s a little secret about me I’ve always been too ashamed to admit.  I have only seen one Star Wars movie in my life, and the only reason I sat down to watch it is because I was to embarrassed to tell people I hadn’t seen a single episode. :( I’m not the cool Frag Doll anymore, am I?

If indeed any of your friend’s lists are full, would you consider removing anyone who has low activity for someone who will be on for quite some time?
I’ve had Xbox Live for so long now, that I know almost every single person on my list in real life.  And if not, they’re apart of the Frag Doll community so I wouldn’t want to get rid of them.  This is why I have a second gamer tag, FD Brookelyn.  I would think Xbox would give us an option to buy more friend slots by now.  I know tons of people would buy into this.

How did you end up as a frag doll? And do you have any advice for us to better our gaming style?
I was in the clan, PMS, playing the original Rainbow Six for Xbox with Valkyrie.  She found a posting on Craigslis;, Ubisoft was looking to sponsor a girl gaming team.  She applied and during her phone interview was nice enough to drop my name to them.

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck?
Tu Madre

What’s your opinion on Rock Band and do you own it? And if so how often do you play?
I feel like it takes up too much space in my 1200 sq ft. condo.  I stub my toe on the drum set about 3 times a day.  I have only played it once, but that’s because I have never been very good with these types of games.

What’s your New Year resolution?
I want to dedicate my life more to God and not myself.  I want to stop contridicting my actions by thinking one way and acting in another. Does that makes sense?

How do you girls afford to travel the country and go to all of these gaming events in all different states? Because I would NEVER be able to afford that many trips around the country.
Courtesy of Ubisoft.  If it wasn’t for Ubisoft, there would be no way I could afford to go to any of these events. Plus, we have sponsors, like Seagate, Dell and GameInvasion.net that help pay for us to travel and compete in tournaments.

Given a reasonable budget (let’s say $50m), your pick of game development studios (Ubisoft, Bungie, Blizzard, Bioware, etc), and a reasonable time frame (let’s say three years), what game would you personally like to make?
Well, an MMO is probably out of the question because I don’t think it could be done in 3 years. Although, if I was to create an MMO, it would probably be the biggest accomplishment of my life.  There is just so much that goes into MMO’s, it literally blows my mind thinking of all the elements.

What other Frag Doll names did you consider before settling on the one you currently use?
Coming up with a Frag Doll name was extremely frustrating for me. At one point someone threw out the name Bella.  I was like, “Whatever, I’ll take it.” But over the course of a few weeks it wasn’t sticking.  So instead, I went with Brookelyn, a name my high schools track coach use to call me.

Do you think there will ever be a time where one will be able to consistently play games online without having to deal with all of the horrible racial slurs/unnecessary bad language thrown around?
Although I do think online behavior is getting better, I don’t think hatred will ever fully go away.  It’s not possible to censor every person.  But I have found that Xbox Live has calmed down a bit since the beginning.  People are more accepting of a variety of different gamers.

Have you played with jerks in halo(halo,halo2,halo3) that think they’re all that and a bag of chips, then kicked their butts, then they were quiet… =P
Not in Halo 3.  I run and hide in that game and pray that I won’t be found.  But I have had similar experiences in Rainbow Six, where I kick the crap out of unsuspecting victims.

Before the Frag Dolls ever became a group, how did you get into that business?
I wasn’t, unless you consider just being a gamer apart of the industry.  My love for gaming just somehow turned a different direction and I went with it.
