Rhoulette and I were honored when we received the invite to present the Outstanding Achievement in Online Game Play award, this year at Dice. Not only because the award show takes place in Vegas, or that we have an excuse to dress up, but because we really do appreciate what these companies do for gaming. One time a year the AIAS or Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences board members gets together and privately vote for the game they see best for that particular award. I think it’s great that these companies get recognized for all of their hard work and creativity.
Although the Independent Film Channel will be broadcasting the show for the first time this year, it won’t be aired until April (no clue). Thankfully, you don’t have to wait that long to watch it; IGN has it to stream on their site. I recommend watching the entire show; trust me it’s not a typical boring award show. Jay Mohr, actor and comedian does a brilliant job each year with making everyone laugh from beginning to end. I am even proud to say that Jay put us in his monolog. Thank God he was easy on us. When I heard him call out our names, I gripped Rhoulette’s leg and braced myself for the worst.
For all of you that don’t want to watch the entire show, I highlighted the times of my most memorable moments:
0-15min- Jay rips on all the higher ups in the industry
15min 50sec- Jay Mohr calls out the Frag Dolls
24min 36sec- Jay tells a Christopher Walken story. You have to listen to this, you will die laughing.
1hr 29min- Frag Dolls presents

Personally, I felt that all the awards given out were well deserved. What do you think...Do you feel there was a particular game that was robbed of an award this year?
